Lets start again

Dear Thrifters,

The past 48 hours have been incredibly tough for me, especially emotionally. When Karachi Thrift Store by Muhammad Teli was disabled, it felt like my last three years had been taken away from me. I had invested so much time, energy, and love into that group, and it was devastating to see it go. But now, I am back on track and ready to start over. I am determined to build a new group that is even better than the old one. I will have stricter rules in place to prevent the same thing from happening again.

I haven’t made a single penny from this platform to date because I believe in giving to the community rather than charging them to sell their household stuff. I want to create a platform where people can find affordable and sustainable clothing and household goods, and I don’t want to profit off of that.

Yes, we will continue to filter resellers, business owners, and wholesalers. This platform is not for people who want to make a profit. It is for people who want to find affordable and sustainable goods, and who want to support their local community.

Our vision is to make Pakistan’s largest thrifting community where it is safe to buy and sell, and where people won’t judge you. We want to create a space where everyone feels welcome, regardless of their background or financial situation.

I know that it is unfair for a community leader when their group goes down without any warning, but I am not going to let that stop me. I am going to keep going and build something even better.

Thank you for trusting in me.

Muhammad Teli
